Today I had the privilege of reviewing some more free products! Thank you Influenster for sending me this months Oasis VoxBox, I am so thankful!! I received eight products from them as well as a coupon to get a free evolution fresh drink and a $2.00 coupon valid at Ulta or CVS.
Product #1: ALOHA Protein Bar

What I liked about this product:
Non-GMO and USDA Organic certified.
It is 100% real food (yes this is what it says on the packaging)
Although I think that's super awesome, it worries me about what else I've been eating that is not 100% real food :P
Made with plant-based protein.
I thought this was super cool for an alternative protein option and honestly--the protein itself shines through and actually tastes really good!
Interesting texture.
I actually like the texture, which is like... nougat meets tootsie roll (that's the best way I can describe it)
Actually it kind of smells like a tootsie roll too.

What I did not like about this product:
Peanut Butter and Jelly
I love the concept of this product and I can taste the protein which I like, however... I don't like the actual peanut and jelly flavoring that they were going for.. But also, I am just not a fan of peanut butter and jelly in general.
Product #2: Vera Wang: Periwinkle and Iris

What I disliked about this product:
Too strong
Again this is super personal and depends on what you like. However, this perfume just was not for me. The floral scents were too overpowering--I can tell I would get a migraine from something like this.
Heavy Scent
To me this scent smells and feels heavy. Again, I know I will get a migraine from something like this and my nose will almost become desensitized from smelling it for a long period of time (I hope that makes sense).
Product 3: Rose Buds and Vanilla

What I liked about this product:
Lighter than the first scent.
Light florals.
More citrus undertones which is nice.
Almost fresh smelling.
It smells expensive but it's only $30.
What I disliked about this product:
Can become overpowering if not careful:
This is a scent I would spray a few times and walk through instead of spraying directly on skin.
(Or I would take a shirt, lay it down on my bed, and do a quick spritz from 6-8 inches away.)
This is a scent you would not want to over-spray as it can get tiring. If you spray it once it can smell like a light, fresh fragrance--but has the potential to smell heavy.
It is suppose to have a creamy vanilla scent to it but I don't smell that at all.
Product #4: EVA NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer

What I like about this product:
It's Cruelty free
Perhaps I am being way too critical but I actually did not like this product and let me explain why:
What I disliked about this product:
Hella perfume-like
Instead of doing a test before spraying it into my hair I just sprayed it right on not expecting anything. If I am going to be honest (which I will and always will) I was shocked at how strong the scent was.
If I am going to spray something in my hair such as a primer, I want it to smell fresh and light. I DON'T WANT IT TO BE THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE PARTY ESPECIALLY IF I ALREADY WEAR PERFUME ON MY BODY. Sorry not sorry, but I do not want to spray perfume onto my head-- thank you very much.
"10-in-1"
WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN?! I am super skeptical about this-- how many things can one product actually successfully fulfill?
For example, I have a 2-in-1 foundation. It is a foundation and a concealer meaning it serves two totally different purposes. One purpose is to even out my skin tone as a foundation, the next is to cover dark circles under my eyes as a concealer. So what are the 10 different things that this product can satisfy?
So can this 10-in-1 foundation really do 10 different things? I don't know.. but it says it can "do it all" not sure how much I believe that.
After looking into it, I found a description on all the "abilities" of this so-called magical product, listed as so:
1. Detangles
2.Nourishes
3.Strengthens
4.Softens
5.Cuts drying time
6.Adds shine
7.Refuces frizz
8.Protects against damage
As you can see those are 8 things so what's going on here? lol
Products #5,6, and 7: Welch's Fruit Rolls: Flavors Strawberry, Berry and Tropical Punch:

You can see the flavors in the above photo:
First I will discuss what I like overall about the product and what I don't like, then I will yes or no each flavor.
What I liked about this product:
I like the concept
I love welch's fruit snacks so I was excited about this.
What I disliked:
Tastes watery
Tastes like nothing
Tastes like plastic
SOOOO GOOEY
Sticks to your teeth meaning--Cavities galore...
Strawberry: a no for me. Tasted more like medicine or plastic, but also like nothing and very watery. There was not enough grape flavoring to denote it strawberry.
Berry: also a no for me. Same deal as the strawberry.
Tropical Punch: This one was a step up from the others, so it gets a yes. However, there is a lot of room for improvement. This one still tasted a bit watery however the flavoring was better and more powerful than the other two I received. It still had this underlying plastic/medicine taste.
Product #8: COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation.

A handful of people were selected to review the new COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation: I was lucky enough to receive this opportunity as well.
Unfortunately this product is not for me.
What I disliked about it:
It has a chemical scent that I can actually describe as smelling like a dental office.
It has pretty much zero coverage.
Despite being advertised as a full-coverage foundation, it in fact accentuates my imperfections instead of covering them a little.
Coloring is too pink.
I received Natural Beige and this color has shockingly pink undertones... my skin has more so yellow and golden undertones so this just was not a good match for me.
Stays wet for a long time
Put it on my hand and it stayed wet for too long to my liking.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope I wasn't to harsh with my critiques <3
